ZERA calibration lab is now DAkkS accredited

Due to an EU regulation, accreditation in Europe was restructured. See what has changed.

Up to now, the german calibration laboratories have been accredited by the DAR (Deutscher  Akkreditierungsrat). Other areas of accreditation were covered by different sites. To reduce the variety of sites, the european right says that in each state only one site is responsible for accreditation. Since 17.12.2009, for Germany this is the DAkkS (Deutschen Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH).

These are the changes

Title of the accreditation body

  • old: DAR (Deutscher Akkreditierungsrat)
  • new: DAkkS (Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle)

All calibration laboratories accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 got a new registration number. Registration number of ZERA calibration laboratory:

  • old: DKD-K-23801
  • new: D-K-15103-01

Colour and name of calibration mark

  • old: red, DKD calibration mark
  • new: blue, DAkkS-DKD calibration mark or DAkks calibration mark

Calibration certificate

  • The federal eagle has been removed.

This has remained

  • The calibration service is still named DKD (Deutscher Kalibrierdienst).
  • DKD calibration certificates are still being issued and are still valid. The DKD symbol stays a protected symbol and may only be used from laboratories that are accredited accordingly. Nothing changes for our customers: You get the same things in future.

The new calibration certificates are being issued since 10.01.2011.
