To ensure safety in meter testing, we focus on the integration of a watchdog. It starts a request for the components of the test system at regular intervals. If the watchdog receives no feedback from the system during its monitoring, it activates the emergency stop circuit and switches off the entire system. This prevents the meter from being loaded by high currents for a long period of time and possibly being damaged. The watchdog is used with our AC and DC meter test systems.
Prerequisites for the integration are::
– Up-to-date WinSAM
– Warning lamp (red and green)
– Two-channel emergency stop
