ZERA DAkkS calibration laboratory
Since 2000, ZERA has been operating its own DAkkS accredited calibration laboratory (DK-15103-01-00)Through regular auditing, traceable standards and precisely defined environmental conditions, DAkkS accreditation ensures high calibration quality in accordance with DIN EN/ISO IEC 17025:2018.
The accreditation authorizes us to calibrate the following electrical measurement quantities:
- Direct current and low frequency
- DC voltage
- AC voltage
- alternating current
- Electrical power
- Electrical power
- Phase angle
- Tension ratio
- Current ratio
To process
Our measuring instruments are adjusted with predefined ZERA standard load points before calibration.
We then calibrate your device in our accredited DAkkS laboratory using ZERA standard load points. This calibration and the stated Measurement uncertainties in the calibration certificate ensure direct traceability of the measurement results to the PTB (Physikalische Technische Bundesanstalt).
An overview of the load points can be found in the sample calibration certificates of the corresponding devices on our service pages.
DAkkS calibration for test meters since 2000 at ZERA
DAkkS calibration forms the foundation for reliable energy measurements in electrical engineering. Our accredited calibration laboratory, certified under the DK-15103-01-00 designation, has been ensuring the highest standards in the metrological support of electrical measuring instruments for over two decades. Our laboratory work focuses on test meters, measuring bridges, and other measuring instruments.
The continuous development of our calibration methods allows us to process even the most modern measuring instruments according to current standards. Our experts have extensive expertise in measurement technology and ensure that your devices meet the highest quality requirements. If any deviations are detected, we immediately carry out the necessary repairs to ensure optimal device function. The DAkkS calibration laboratory operates according to the strictest quality guidelines.
Professional calibration DAkkS according to international standards
International comparability of measurement results requires uniform calibration procedures according to DIN EN/ISO IEC 17025:2018. Our DAkkS calibration meets these strict requirements through traceable standards and controlled environmental conditions. Regular audits by the German Accreditation Body (DKG) confirm the quality of our work.
Electrical quantities such as direct voltage, alternating voltage, current, electrical power, and energy are processed with the utmost precision in our laboratory. Measurements are performed at 50 Hz and 60 Hz frequencies to cover a wide range of applications. We guarantee direct traceability to the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), which internationally confirms the validity of your measurement results. DAkkS calibration ensures global recognition.
Why is DAkkS calibration necessary for measuring instruments?
Inaccurate measurements can have significant economic consequences and jeopardize operational reliability. DAkkS calibration is particularly necessary in critical applications, where measurement errors can lead to costly downtime. Preventive maintenance prevents unexpected equipment failures and ensures the quality of your measurement processes.
Accreditation according to DIN ISO 17025 ensures that all procedures are carried out according to scientifically recognized methods. Measuring instruments are subject to natural aging processes and environmental influences that can affect their accuracy. Regular DAkkS calibration protects your investment in measurement technology over the long term and continues to meet the required specifications for precise energy measurements. The corresponding DAkkS calibration certificate documents all tests performed.
Precise calibration according to DAkkS in our own laboratory
Our in-house laboratory offers decisive advantages over external service providers. We process our measurements using ZERA standard load points, which are specifically tailored to the requirements of various measuring instruments. Before each calibration according to DAkkS, we perform a precise adjustment to ensure optimal initial conditions.
The comprehensive testing process includes functional testing in the test field, technical assessment, and detailed measurements of all relevant parameters. Each load point is documented with a specified measurement uncertainty, providing you with maximum transparency regarding the performance of your devices. This systematic approach guarantees reproducible results and meets the highest metrological requirements for energy measurements in industrial applications. Our DAkkS calibration laboratory uses state-of-the-art equipment.
